Our standard coating is the CHX, an even-thickness coating designed for rotor protection.
Drilex CHX coating is a direct replacement for chrome. Unlike chrome, it is applied with an even thickness to minimize rotor profile distortion.
This coating offers excellent performance and longevity in most applications and can be applied to any alloy steel or stainless steel substrates.
The Drilex Extreme Rotor Coating (XR3) is an even-thickness tungsten carbide coating suitable for use in medium to severe applications.
XR3 provides outstanding wear protection and is particularly effective in high chloride applications.
This coating performs exceptionally well in pneumatic applications with minimal lubrication. With a coefficient of friction significantly lower than typical chrome plating, XR3 substantially extends stator life compared to other coatings.
The XR3 coating is an exceptional heavy-duty coating that can be applied to any alloy or stainless steel substrate.
Drilex stainless steel rotors can be utilized without a coating. This is possible due to our unique and proprietary manufacturing process.
This option is preferred for applications where acid or other fluid additives may degrade or potentially strip away a traditional rotor coating.
